Diana Ballew was raised in Virginia, where her passion for history began. As a child, she read and wrote poetry. During college, she began filling pages with the characters and stories flooding her mind. While she and her husband raised their three boys, she found a creative outlet devouring American history, reading the classics, and genealogical research.

Diana is an actively engaged member of Romance Writers of America and a member in the local chapters in Seattle, Washington, and Tucson, Arizona. Additionally, she is a founding member and vice president of Evergreen RWA, located in Everett, Washington.

Diana’s writing combines her active imagination with her love of history and research to create vibrant characters in sizzling tales that blend vintage vixens with haunting heroes.

Her first novel, Thorns of Eden, is a steamy and suspenseful tale set in the American Civil War during the Peninsula Campaign of 1862. Currently, Thorns of Eden is on Amazon’s List of 100 Top Rated in Historical Romance. Her second novel, Immortal Prey, is a tantalizing paranormal romance spanning over three hundred years and a finalist in the Emerald City Opener Writing Contest.
